Upper Austria is one of the nine states of the Austria. Many holiday makers like to come to Upper Austria and stay in self catering holiday accommodation. The Upper Austrians prepare a round doughnut that is thicker in the middle and it is filled in the middle with jam or is served simply dredged with sugar. It is called “Bauernkrapfen” or “farmer’s doughnut”.
